Julia Adams was born in Seattle, WA and attended the University of Washington where she studied String Performance and Music Education. An active performer in the Seattle area, she plays with the Federal Way Symphony, Philharmonia Northwest, Orchestra Seattle, and Lyric Opera Northwest. Her principal teachers have included Lisa Dyvig (Principal Violist, Olympia Symphony), Aviva Leonard, Melia Watras (Associate Professor, UW), and Katie Kadarauch (Assistant Principal Violist, San Francisco Symphony).

Julia plays a Jay Haide violin and viola (16 1/2 inches).
